The company Mediabox Ltd. was established in 2007 in the town of. The company was established in 2007 in Burgas, as a successor of previous companies engaged in the trade of mobile devices from the late 90’s. Their focus is mainly on offering mobile phones, smartphones, tablets and more, including a full range of accessories for them. Over time, the company rose as one of the leading players in the region and the Bulgarian market.
European funding
In 2023. Mediabox Ltd. applied for the project №BG-RRP-3.005-6827-C01 “Information and Communication Technology and Cyber Security Solutions in Small and Medium Enterprises” from the National Recovery and Sustainability Plan. Under this program, the company gets the opportunity to completely revamp its Internet platform and add new more advanced features.
- Almart Studio, became a partner of the company in this endeavor by successfully implementing AS-CMF for the needs of Mediabox Ltd. and developed the company's image WordPress site.
Development process
The process of developing the Mediabox Ltd website started quite dynamically, as we had to meet the project deadlines for European funding. In parallel, three people from Almart Studio committed to develop the image WordPress site company.mediabox-bg.com and the online store mediabox-bg.com. The following activities can be noted as milestones:
- We purchased a new hosting account and domain from one of the leading hosting companies Almart Studio works with.
- Configure a subdomain company.mediabox-bg.com on which to load a clean WordPress installation for the purpose of the image site.
- Install professional version of theme builder - Elementor Pro for the image site
- All the internal pages of the image site, navigation menus, header and footer, etc. were formed.
- AS-CMF is installed for the online store mediabox-bg.com
- All the pages of the online shop were formed for and a specially selected theme was put together.
- A category structure was made for the online store and individual filters and features were set.
- XML integration of the online store with one of the leading Mediabox providers - Polycomp.
- They have done a detailed review of both sites on different devices - mobile phones, tablets, different resolutions for desktops and laptops. Where design changes are required.
- Penetration tests were done on the pages, and additional protections were provided on both sites.
- Made integration of the sites with Google Tag Manager, where the analytics tools, Facebook Messenger chat, cookie policy management and more were added.
- Loads the WPML multilingual module, and all the content poured in is translated through an automated robot - DeepL. The online store was translated manually.
- Install Yoast SEO module for the image site. The optimization of the online store is done manually.
- Caching and speed optimization modules are added.
- Training was provided on the use of the platforms.
- The working environment migrated to live and the sites became a fact.
